No town in the East Valley swings harder with the seasons than Apache Junction. Winter visitors begin arriving in October and November, and by April and May the parks are emptying out again. That gives the town two busy months for cleaning: October, when a home that sat shut all summer needs a full opening clean before anyone sleeps in it, and April, when the same home gets closed up and has to be left clean enough that nothing is waiting in the fridge or the shower drain when its owners return.

An opening clean in October is mostly dust.
