Apartment and Condo Cleaning in Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix

Small square footage does not mean a small job. An apartment kitchen gets more use per foot than most house kitchens, a condo bathroom with one exhaust fan and no window holds moisture like a greenhouse, and a balcony door in the Valley tracks in a season's worth of grit onto a floor that is a few steps from the bed.

Day Cleaning Solutions cleans apartments, condos and townhomes across Mesa and the Phoenix metro the same way we clean houses: to a written scope, with our own supplies, on a schedule that fits the lease and the building.

Two of the reviews on our Google profile are apartment cleans, and one of them says it better than we could. Steffen wrote: "I'm really happy with the cleaning service. My apartment feels fresh and clean, the team was friendly and professional, and the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely book them again and can highly recommend them!".

Renters, Owners and Everyone In Between

The people who book apartment and condo cleaning are a mix. Renters in Tempe and Mesa who work long hours and want the place kept up every two weeks. Condo owners in Peoria or Glendale who are here for the winter and want the unit opened in the fall and closed in the spring. Parents booking a clean for a student's apartment near campus before a visit, or after one. Owners of a short-term rental unit who need a reliable reset between guests. Anyone at the end of a lease who needs the unit to pass the walk-through.

Because a unit is smaller, the schedule can be lighter and the visit shorter, but the standard is the same. The written scope names the rooms and the tasks, and the team works to it whether the unit is a studio or a three-bedroom townhome with a garage.

The owner runs the company from our Mesa base. It is family-owned and operated, licensed and insured, and we bring the vacuum, the mop and the products every time, which matters in a unit with no room to store a bucket.

What We Clean in a Unit

A one-time or recurring apartment clean covers the whole unit, top to bottom, in the plain terms below. Lease-end and move cleans add the insides; that is further down.

Kitchen. Counters, backsplash and the sink scrubbed. Stovetop, the outside of the oven, fridge and dishwasher wiped. Inside the microwave. Cabinet fronts spot-wiped. Small appliances and the coffee station. Trash and recycling out to the chute or the bin. Floor vacuumed and mopped, including under the edge of the fridge where crumbs go to hide.

Bathroom. Toilet inside and out, tub and shower scrubbed, the hard water scale on the glass and fixtures worked off, mirror and vanity, faucet polished, exhaust fan cover dusted, floor mopped and the corners behind the door done properly.

Bedroom. Dusting of nightstands, dresser, headboard and sills, bed made or linens changed if the clean set is out, closet floor vacuumed, mirror wiped, floor vacuumed or mopped edge to edge.

Living and dining area. Shelves, table, TV stand and the top of the entertainment unit dusted. Cushions straightened. Light switches and door handles wiped. Balcony door glass on the inside and the track vacuumed. Floors vacuumed and mopped.

Entry and hall. The front door inside, the closet floor, the hall and any laundry closet, with the top of the washer and dryer wiped and lint cleared from around them.

Fans, blinds, baseboards, inside the oven and fridge, and walls spot-cleaned come with a deep clean, which is worth booking once a year in a unit that gets daily use, or as the first visit before a recurring schedule starts.

Lease-End and Turnover Cleans for Units

At the end of a lease, the property manager's checklist decides the scope. Inside the oven, the fridge and every cabinet and drawer. Blinds and window tracks. Baseboards and door frames. Closet shelves. Tub and tile with the grout scrubbed. Walls spot-cleaned where the couch or the bed frame left marks. Light fixtures and the patio door track. We work to the checklist you were given; landlords and property managers have their own move-out standards, and the list you send us becomes the list we clean to.

The full version of that job, for units and houses both, is on the move in and move out cleaning page. Owners of multiple units who turn them over regularly should read the rental turnover page instead, which covers repeat scheduling and getting a unit show ready between tenants.

The Building Part of an Apartment Clean

Cleaning a unit means dealing with the building. Gated parking, a leasing office that holds the key, an elevator that needs a fob, a loading zone with a time limit, quiet hours in the HOA rules. None of that is a problem if we know about it in advance. When you book, tell us how the team gets in, where the crew can park, and whether the building or the HOA has rules about hours or supply carts in the hallway. We work inside those rules.

Condo buildings in particular often have HOA standards for anything that affects the common areas, from where trash goes to when a vendor can be on site. If you have a copy of what applies, send it with the booking. And if the HOA or the property manager is the one arranging the clean for the common areas as well, that is a commercial job with its own page under the home page, separate from the unit clean.

How Valley Living Shows Up in a Unit

Apartments and condos here have a specific set of problems. The unit is sealed for months because it is over 100 degrees outside, so dust that gets in stays in and settles on every surface within days. A balcony or patio door with a track full of decomposed granite grit brings that dust straight onto the living room floor. During monsoon season, from about mid-June to the end of September, one storm can leave a visible film on a unit that was cleaned the day before, which is why an every-two-weeks schedule is the one most renters in Mesa and Tempe settle on.

Bathrooms without windows are the second issue. The East Valley's hard water leaves scale on the shower glass and fixtures, and in a bathroom that only has an exhaust fan the moisture keeps that scale building and the grout darkening. A recurring clean wipes the scale before it sets; a deep clean takes off what has already built up.

Third, the seasonal swing. Winter visitors fill the condo buildings in Mesa, Phoenix and the West Valley from October through April, and a unit that has sat through a summer needs a real clean before it is lived in again. The reverse is true in the spring, when the unit should be sealed up clean rather than left with a season's dust to bake. Opening and closing cleans are a standing part of what we do for condo owners.

Booking a Unit Clean

The quote for a unit usually takes one phone call. We will ask about the bedrooms and bathrooms, the floors, the appliances, how the team gets in and what you want done. For a recurring schedule or a lease-end clean with a checklist, a short walk-through can be worth it, and we will say so. Then the scope goes to you in writing.

The team arrives in the window you were given, brings every supply, works the list and texts or emails you when the unit is done. Eco-friendly cleaning practices are standard. We take calls and bookings seven days a week, day or night, and the work carries a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

For a house instead of a unit, start at the residential cleaning hub, where every home service is listed, including recurring house cleaning for anyone moving from an apartment into something bigger.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Small units are a large part of what we do, and the scope and visit length scale to the unit.

Usually. We arrange access in advance, whether that is a key left with the leasing office, a fob, a lockbox or a door code, and we follow whatever the building or HOA requires for vendors.

Every two weeks is the common choice for a unit that is lived in daily, because it stays ahead of the dust. Monthly works for a smaller unit or one that is often empty; weekly for pets, allergies or a busy household.

Yes. Send the list and it becomes the scope. That is the whole point of a lease-end clean.

Yes, every time. Nothing needs to be stored in the unit.
